Friday Update

Our lock-down drill went very well. Our students were praised by the district security for their response. Well done, Excel Academy students. We also had a fire drill this week.

Monday, of course, is Halloween. We will have our parties at 2:30 and students will put on costumes just prior. Please do not send any masks or any scary clown costumes.

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

Week of 10/24

Welcome back from Fall Break.
I hope everyone had a restful time off of school.
Thank you to all our parents that attended conferences, we appreciate all of your input about your children.

We will have a lock-down drill on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the district safety team. We are not specifically telling our students about it however, if parents wish to share that information with their own student/s please feel free to do so.

Update for week of 10/10

Good Afternoon,

Tomorrow is Wednesday and some students thought we would have Pizza since it is the last day of this week. Sadly, that is not the case. We have Wednesday's regular  lunch tomorrow.

Reminders: No school on Thursday or Friday due to Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Fall Break: all next week, enjoy!

Week of 10/10

Good Morning,

Remember next week we have no school on Thursday or Friday for Parent/Teacher Conferences.
A big shout out to our parents for feeding us during conferences.
The following week is our much coveted Fall Break, so please rest and relax.

Have a wonderful fall weekend.

Update on Lead Testing

Excel Academy was built in 2004.  Therefore, the pipes, faucets and drinking fountains installed during the construction of our building are certified lead-free and adhere to the 1991 Lead and Copper Rule.  Therefore, lead testing is not required at this time.   As a charter school, we are not included in Jeffco’s testing plan.  However, we are working closely with Jeffco to make sure that we take whatever steps are deemed necessary to ensure that the drinking water continues to be safe for our students and staff to drink.
